Building the Boat
This is a closeup of the boat building process. This particular longship was made entirely at War. There are no nails holding the longship together, just glue and wax. | A Little Help
One war, Lord Grendel wanted to help build the boat. Actually, he wanted to ride IN the boat, but Baron Garwig told him if he wanted a ride, he had to contribute. Garwig built a small toolkit for Grendel including a saw, set square, small adze and a ruler. | Finished Longship
A finished longship, before the burning. Later longships are larger (up to 5' long) and the shields along the sides are painted by those gentles who wish to remember a loved one during the ceremony. |
